All winter long antsy children and drowsy parents will the warm days of summer to come fast. It’s a time of soft breezes, green grass, wild flowers and bright sunny days.  So many people look forward to the hot summer sun for picnics, backyard barbeques and family outings to national parks.  It is a time to indulge in all of the beauty of Mother Nature. This is what summer means to so many families.

I, however, live in New Mexico and summer here has a very different meaning to my family, friends and neighbors. . . .
