It’s a long way from Israel to the resort community of
Ruidoso, New Mexico, yet artist Yoram Gal has made the
trek twice in two years to participate in the annual juried
Ruidoso Art Festival. Last year he was selected as “Best in
Show” and made several large sales.
This year, Yoram smiles wryly as he claims, he did not
do so well either in judging or in sales. “I’m not exactly
everybody’s cup of tea,” he laughs good-naturedly as he describes
his life’s journey as “painful but honest,” and refers
to himself as anti-establishment to the core: “I did it my
way and often in the most extreme manner.”
